Staff Accountant:
Build your accounting career with a role that offers variety, responsibility, and room to grow. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team and play an important role in day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis.

What You’ll Do:
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and year-end working papers.
- Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, including A/R and cash.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure shipments are billed accurately and recorded in the correct accounting period.
- Prepare weekly sales reports, monthly company and department expense reports, and required GST/PST and WCB filings.
- Assist with annual budgeting and year-end audit adjustments.
Accounts Receivable & Payable:
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle and review transactions for accuracy.
- Prepare weekly A/R aging reports and support collection activities.
- Apply customer payments accurately and monitor customer credit limits.
- Investigate discrepancies, unusual transactions, and potential financial risks.
Process Improvement & General Accounting:
- Assist with internal controls and accounting procedures to support audit requirements.
- Review processes and recommend improvements to month-end close and financial reporting.
- Perform work order costing and commission calculations.
- Assist with financial analysis and other accounting projects as needed.
- Maintain accurate time-tracking records.
- Provide backup support for employee benefits administration.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- CPA designation or progress toward a CPA is an asset.
- Experience with an accounting system; Visual or Simply Accounting experience is an asset.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visual Manufacturing.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data queries.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Manufacturing accounting experience is an asset, but not required.
Schedule & Location:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- Suggested hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Flexible working hours based on business needs.
- Reliable transportation is an asset.
- Conveniently accessible via the South Fraser Perimeter Road (SFPR).
